Summer Meltdown Sale

Here are a few examples of our artists and prints on sale:

Mike Capser

The graceful beauty of Mike Capser’s art comes naturally

to the watercolorist who lives under the wide open skies of Montana.

Capser paints, draws and sculpts contemporary, western and wildlife subjects.

A critical part of Capser’s work is based on painstaking research and

inspiration from hunting, studying, and sketching the wild, untouched

land of his childhood. He relies on much of his rich, personal

experience with the West to get the right feeling for his subjects.

He has received numerous awards and honors for his paintings,

and several publications have featured his art: Wildlife Art, InformArt,

and U.S. ART magazine, which has named Capser among the

country’s top artists. Several of Capser’s images have been used

by the National Wildlife Federation for Christmas cards.

His prints hang in galleries across the United States.

Monte Dolack

Monte A. Dolack is an American graphic artist who lives in Missoula, Montana. Frommer's called him "one of the best-known artists in Montana." He works primarily in watercolor, acrylic paint, poster art, and lithographs.

Gary Carter

Gary Carter graduated from the Art Center College of Design in 1971 and was

blessed to have great instructors who encouraged him to paint the West.

He illustrated briefly then was offered a one-man show in Tucson, Arizona, which sold out and started his fine art career. While in Tucson he was invited to be the resident artist at Sun Ranch in the Madison Valley of southwest Montana. The ranch refurbished the bunkhouse to accommodate his studio. Gary, along with his Australian Shepherd Patches and Amos Moses, his “trick” cow horse, took up residence. It was a great

learning experience, and he gained a cowboy’s perspective and fine-tuned his cowboy humor.

His interests are as diverse as hotrods, fly-fishing, trains, Bear Tooth

pack trips, collecting historic artifacts, books and firearms, ranch work

and painting for the CA Show. He’s been accused of having way too much fun!

In 1982 he was accepted into the Cowboy Artists of America and

in 1986 served as President of the organization. Gary lives with his

wife, Marlys, in splendid isolation between Yellowstone National

Park and Madison River ranches where he works hard to come up

with new ideas and keep his “predicament” artist status alive.

Verified Archival Materials Used

The Art Storefronts Organization has verified that this Art Seller has published information about the archival materials used to create their products in an effort to provide transparency to buyers.

Description from Merchant:

Printing images is a serious investment. Ounce per ounce, printer inks are more expensive than Dom Perignon, and the time and tools used to print require substantial commitments. To make prints of beautiful images without taking the steps necessary to print them so they will last as long as possible is unfathomable. Why would we do this? The few pennies or minutes saved by cutting corners are minuscule, and these compromises will come back to bite us. That's why we only utilize inks and media that are certified "Archival" and/or "Acid Free"
